This lesson covers an extensive range of language skills—writing definitions, descriptive language, answering questions, comparing and contrasting, reading, writing, and more! These skills are typically addressed in elementary school, but many middle and high school students continue to struggle with them. This lesson is visually appropriate for older students, so they can work on these early essential language skills without feeling like they're doing "little kid" assignments. The lesson still works for younger students, as well!
Designed to last at least a full class period—if not even longer!—this lesson makes it so you don't have to worry about lesson planning on your prep time. It's suitable for small or large groups and one-on-one sessions, so SLPs and teachers can use it in any setting.
Example answers are included in the notes section of the PowerPoint.
